Toddler Program

Some refer to this developmental period as "The Terrible Twos." We disagree; toddlers are terrific. We love everything about them -- their energy, determination, and curiosity -- and purposefully created a very special place just for them.
Prepared Environment
A prepared environment. Our bright and sunny toddler classrooms are specially designed for your child between the ages of 12 months and walking and 3 years. It is a world scaled down to your child's size and filled with Montessori materials designed for them. Montessori materials emphasize exploration and experimentation and help to develop the child's ability to concentrate and focus, refine sensory perceptions, aid in gross and fine motor abilities, and language skills.
Exploration
Exploration. To be a toddler is to be curious. There are so many things to see, touch, hear, feel, and do in the classroom! Beautiful materials that stimulate her senses are rotated frequently on low shelves to pique your child's curiosity. She is encouraged to move freely around the classroom, to choose activities, and explore her own interests.
Joy and Wonder
A joyful experience. Maria Montessori once said, "One test of the correctness of the educational procedure is the happiness of the child." Take a peek into our Toddler classroom and you will see children who are happy, engaged, and deeply connected to their friends and teachers. As a result, your child develops a deep affinity for school and a true love-for-learning.
Autonomy
Help me do it myself. Toddlers are taught practical life skills such as how to pour their own juice, serve themselves a snack, put on their coat, blow their nose, and clean-up a spill (not to mention toilet-training)!
Calm and Peaceful
An environment conducive to learning. Where so many early childhood programs are chaotic and overwhelming, parents are often surprised to see the peaceful tone of our toddler classroom. The calm atmosphere and lack of distraction helps toddlers to develop impulse control and concentration, planting the seeds for learning in this classroom and beyond.

Deeply connected teachers. Teachers provide warmth, patience, and the encouragement necessary for each child to reach their personal best.
Toddler Program Hours
Toddler Program hours are 8:30am to 11:30am half day or 8:30am to 2:30pm full day five days per week. Toddlers who are can walk and are at least 12 months old are eligible.

7:30a.m. to 8:30a.m. - Early Care
8:15a.m. to 8:30a.m. - Drop Off
8:30a.m. to 11:20a.m. - Morning work time
11:20a.m. to 11:30a.m. - Half Day pick up
11:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. - Lunch
12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. - Nap
2:15p.m. to 2:30p.m. - Pick-Up
